„Nepojmenovávám své fotografie, nechávám je mluvit samotné. Nejsou o místech, ani lidech, kteří jsou na nich zachyceni, ale jde spíše o sbírku momentů, které vytáří příběhy samotné.“
Sergej Vutuc
se narodil v roce 1979 v Doboji (Bosna a Hercegovina), své mládí prožil v Záhřebu, odkud se přestěhoval do německého Heilbronnu, kde žije. V devadesátých letech založil HC – Punkový label Get Off Records a zároveň působil jako kytarista seskupení Five minutes to Steve.
Sám také vydal svou knihu „No skateboarding permitted“ a několik fanzinů. Vystavoval na mnoha místech Evropy a USA. A nyní se můžete přijít podívat na jeho fotografie do přážské galerie NÁBŘEŽÍ.

Ale Formenti, Italy
Emanating from Milan’s unsavory peripheral zones, Ale Formenti’s raw, honest
and alternately titillating and unsettling photographs of drinking,
bleeding, crack smoking, vomiting, tattooed miscreants and hoodlums (along
with female fellow travelers clad only in lilac-colored panties and gas
masks) capture a punk rock skateboarding funhouse existence with a
distinctly Italian flavor. Formenti finds his inspiration in everything that
happens around him, taking pictures of his kind of people and doing it in
the way that does their self-destructive high jinks, bad habits and
unbridled sense of fun justice. He doesn’t produce “cool” images like those
“that would make even a leper look nice” and isn’t interested in distorting
reality but representing the fundamental nature of his subjects.
Ale has exhibited in Milano (Italy) and New York City (USA).

He is the creator of Elk magazine, books and gallery, an editor-at-large for Open City magazine, and his artwork has been exhibited at KS Art and Franklin Parrasch Gallery in New York, the Pittsburgh Center for the Arts and the MU Foundation in Eindhoven, The Netherlands.

Marcel Veldman, Holland
“rockstar, skateboarder and photographer”
and more…. He is Editor and Photographer of Fluff Magazine, the infamous dutch skatemag. Besides shooting the necessay skatephotos, he also manages to capture the life of the riders off the board. Not your typical athletes. Hence the name of the series “Roll Models”.The strength lies in the fact that Marcel is not an outsider looking in, but one of them. A skateboarder turned into a photographer. Marcel’s also an Element Advocate.

Rick Charnoski and Buddy Nichols – NCP Films, USA

With their distinct style and in-depth perspective, independent filmmakers Coan Nichols and Rick Charnoski have delivered yet another one-of-a-kind skateboard documentary. With three years in the making Deathbowl to Downtown: the evolution of skateboarding in New York shares the street-level textures and unconventional characters of previous Nichols/Charnoski classics. But it also takes on another dimension, covering the Big Apple itself as the film’s central figure, a growing and changing cityscape of unlimited skate terrain.
Narrated by Chloe Sevigny and injected with a period soundtrack, the skate history of America’s most populous city blends exclusive interviews and never-before-seen footage. And it moves with the scope and insight of a veteran skateboarder. Make that two veteran skateboarders – both Nichols and Charnoski have been skating steadily for more than 20 years.
Sharing an addiction for skateboarding, travel, and Super 8 moviemaking, New York-based Nichols and Charnoski first teamed up in 1998 to produce Fruit of the Vine, about off-the-radar skaters who find and skate empty swimming pools. With the success of that instant classic, they launched NCP Films. Northwest soon followed, staying true to the organic, on-the-road NCP style. In 2003, they relocated to Los Angeles and, a year later, released Tent City, documenting a month-long skate trip through Australia with the Antihero team. More recently, they shot Super 8 footage for Gus Van Sant’s feature film, Paranoid Park. In addition to movies about skateboarding, their film portfolio covers surfing, fashion, and music.
Deathbowl to Downtown is the debut release from Six Stair, Nichols and Charnoski’s new production company. The Six Stair studio is on Fairfax Avenue in Los Angeles.

Stéphanie Solinas, France
Born in 1978. Based in Paris and Barcelona. She learned photography at Louis Lumière School in Paris, and also worked as an assistant for studios and fashion photographers for several years.
“I also do photography to try to know more about people and about photography.
Photography is at the heart of my work. The representation it gives, physically linked to its subject and, for a long time, seen as a raw part of reality, makes the photography an underlying and critical, deep and light, experimental and codified tool to explore objectivity, thruth and fiction.”
In collaboration with Bertrand Trichet, she made Projects: DeuX2 and Convince Me (with Scott Bourne and Jérémie Cortial) .
